EAP&TC from University as under graduate student to Executive Engineer 1977

KP&TC from 1977 as Executive Engineer rising through the ranks to Assistant General Manager Data Processing in1991. Ventured into private practice and had projects with Housing Finance Company of Kenya, Nation Printers and Publishers, Business Machines Ltd, the Red Cross Organisations including KRCS, IFRCS, IC Red Cross &Red Crescent, Norwegian Red Cross all based here in Kenya. I also worked for other NGO’s e.g. legal practices, Winrock International, CORAT Africa and many others. In also was invited by Athi Water Service Board in my capacity a former Board member at WASREB, as Senior Member of KEPSA in charge of Governance and Ethics and Expert in Public Private Partnership to participate in the evaluation of large water dams, water treatment plants, storage facilities and distribution of water.

From the year 2015, I joined KU as a Senior Lecturer in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department rising to Chairman of Department in 2018 and a few months later the same year becoming Dean of the School up to October 2019. I also serve as Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department at Machakos University.
Achievements

In 1989 while at KP&TC as a Data Processing Manager, I managed smooth transfer of old and sensitive Key Edit System, a data entry system for KP&TC Data processing. It was the first time an Engineer was assigned to head Data Processing and it is for this sensitive work that I was moved to Data Processing. This movement of Key Edit System was to pave way for construction of the Telposta Towers.

In 1990 while at KPTC as Assistant General Manager I worked on a small but very important project of collecting billing data online from remote telephone exchanges. Before staff had to go out and collect data but after this project, we begun downloading billing data from the remote exchanges thereby saving KP&TC lots of costs. -

- I coordinate with KPLC in the restoration of Power supply in the upcountry whenever outages occur,
- I participate in the repairs of access roads in my home area whenever necessary
- I participate in the church projects as and whenever they arise
- I take part in raising funds for medical bills for the sick as and when called upon to do so.

National and International awards and Recognitions
- Certificate in recognition in 1985 for excellent work done in coordination of Beyond War Awards to six Heads of State in five continents named as FIVE CONTINENTS SPACE BRIDGE organised by BEYOND WAR FOUNDATION. In the African continent the late Mwalimu Julius K Nyerere, President of the Republic of Tanzania was receiving the Award and coordination was from NAIROBI. Counterpart in this project was Hon Raphael Tuju.
