Ms. Alice Menya is an Urban Planner with extensive professional experience in urban planning and urban development management in public and private practice in Kenya. She holds a Master of Urban Management and Bachelor’s in Urban and Regional planning from the University of Nairobi. She is a Licensed Physical Planner specializing in preparation of county and urban/municipal plans; development control; planning policy formulation and urban management. She is a corporate member of the Kenya Institute of Planners. She is also a member of the Kenya Red Cross Society. Her research interests are in urban planning, urban governance, urban resilience, and urban water governance and resilience. She is specifically interested in shaping urban discourse relating to institutionalization of resilience in governance of critical urban infrastructures in Sub-Saharan Africa cities.
