Dr. Ambrose O. Jagongo is the current Coordinator of the KU- KIST Collaboration/ Learning Center; Chair of Postgraduate Studies Committee and Coordinator of Quality Assurance in the department of Accounting and Finance, Kenyatta University. He previously served as the Assistant Registrar at the Examination section. He is a holder of PhD in Entrepreneurship Finance, MBA finance and BA (Business Studies and Economics) all from Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya. He is a full member of Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) and the American Association of International Researchers.

Dr. Jagongo is known for his prowess in Entrepreneurship Finance, where his main research area of interest is Financial Management in MSMEs. Dr. Jagongo has been involved in various curriculum development/reviews, e.g. Curriculum development of Bachelor of Education (Technical and Vocational Education- in 2012); Curriculum development of Doctor of Business Administration program in 2013; Review of the MSc (finance) program in 2013; Review of the PhD (in Business in 2014) and Review of the Executive MBA Program in 2014. He has over the years effectively supervised several MSc (Finance), MBA and PhD students at Kenyatta University and in other universities. Additionally he serves as internal examiner for MSc (Finance), MBA and PhD theses for the Graduate school at Kenyatta University.

He has attended several conferences/ workshops recently, including the following:-

• Attended the 1st International Cooperatives Summit, 29th to 31st November 2014, at Nyali International Beach Hotel & Spa, Mombasa.
• Attended and presented a paper at the KIST Inaugural Research Conference, held at KIST from 9th to 10th October 2014.
• Attended a Workshop on Individual Lending Best Practices, held in Travellers Beach Hotel, Mombasa, 26th to 29th August 2014.
• Attended the Annual SACCO Leaders Congress held in Nyali International Beach Hotel, Mombasa from 9th to 13th December 2013.
• Attended and presented a paper at the Global Business Research Conference themed “Research for Advancement” held in Kathmandu, Nepal, Nov. 2013.
• Attended the World Business Research Conference, 4th- 6th October 2012, Hotel Novotel Bangkok, Siam Square Thailand
These have seen him immersed in research related dimensions and enriched his teaching assignment
